Nazim and his wife have lived in their Dekalb County home since 2008. In that 6 years they've worked, they've experienced joy, and they've raised their children into adulthood.
Now, after struggling through layoffs, and uncertain employment opportunities they are seeking a principal reduction and an interest reduction from Nationstar so that they can stay in their home. Nazim believes in the power of a community coming together!
Come out, eat with us, and show your support for these awesome seniors fighting for their home!

RECLAIM, REMAIN, AND REBUILD
Bus and Study Tour
April 5, 2014, 1:00pm
The collaboration between Metro Atlanta Democratic Socialists of America and Occupy Our Homes Atlanta (OOHA), which led to last year's popular bus tour of OOHA's activities in the Pittsburgh neighborhood and the proposed Falcon's stadium, will continue this year with an April 5 tour of OOHA and local residents' recent work in four core Atlanta neighborhoods: Pittsburgh, Vine City, English Ave, and Peoplestown.
The tour will begin at 1:00pm at the Rick McDevitt Center, 30 Haygood Street SE, Atlanta 30315. Residents and OOHA members will introduce the tour. Then, three buses will carry participants through the neighborhoods to stops that will focus on particular resident struggles and actions. The final stop in Peoplestown will offer tour participants an opportunity to take action in support of a current struggle.
The tour will end at 5:00pm with an informal dinner at Emmaus House, a community center in Peoplestown that has provided social services and has been a catalyst for community activism since the urban renewal days of the 1960s.
Cost: $20 for DSA members, friends, and OOHA activists, $10 for students
